Transformation through restoration
This beautiful beachside deck had seen better days. Years of coatings, grime and harsh weather conditions had this deck looking dull & tired.
“Semi transparent” deck coatings are designed to protect timber from harmful UV and moisture damage whilst showcasing the beauty of the natural timber. The problem is that they also showcase any imperfections such as brush / lap marks, peeling or stains that aren’t removed prior to coating. The solution is refinishing.
In this project the timber was brush sanded using specialised sanding equipment, chemically cleaned & power washed before having a professional 2 coat system applied. The result is a beautiful finish which accentuates the timbers grain and restores the original lustre that Merbau is renowned for.

Can Deckfix prepare my deck for me to do my own staining?
Our deck repair and deck sanding services are primarily designed for those who prefer to do their own maintenance and staining but don’t have access to the appropriate equipment to repair or sand their own deck.
The associated time and cost involved with doing these tasks yourself normally outweigh the benefits. Hiring a specialist ensures a professional finish and avoids unexpected damage to your deck or surrounding surfaces.
What other services do you offer while attending to my deck?
While caring for your deck, we can also help with the maintenance of your outdoor furniture and surrounding fixtures such as timber pergolas, gates, doors and balustrades. Additional services are only available as add-ons to our decking services.
Our primary focus is efficiently restoring timber decks however for your convenience, we offer additional services in conjunction with our deck restoration & maintenance services.
